Steve has been in the electrical industry since 1977, 10 years as an electrical contractor and 17 years in various senior executive positions in both Australia and New Zealand, prior to commencing Laser in Australia in 2004.
State Directors
The State Directors are responsible for selecting new members to join the Laser network and supporting member companies throughout Australia in their dedicated regions. They all have extensive experience within the industry as well as thorough knowledge of Laser’s systems and processes.

Scott Carr- General Manager
Scott started as Laser’s first apprentice way back in 1983. He has since progressed through the company in many different roles including General Manager of Laser Electrical Rosebank for 10 years. Testament to his passion and experience with Laser, he moved into the role of General Manager for Laser Group New Zealand in 2010.
Bradford May- Member Support and Sales Manager
Bradford started his electrical apprenticeship in 1997 with Laser Electrical Rosebank. In 2002 he successfully moved into a design and sales position. With his extensive electrical background, it was a natural progression for Bradford to move into a Member Support role for Laser Group in 2008. His experience within the industry allows him to guide other Members to improve their businesses. Now his key role is selecting new members to join the Laser network and supporting member companies throughout New Zealand.
